Well done to the Limerick School of Acting students, adults and kids, who landed roles on the internet commercial shot in University of Limerick and Adare last week. The Chinese and Dublin agencies were very impressed.
Our Limerick School of Acting database is getting very busy!!!
Two of our young students are auditioning this week thanks to our actors database being used by top Dublin casting agents.
Good luck to Meabh meeting with the producer and director coming over from London this Thursday who are casting for the lead role in an exciting new short filmed being shot in Co. Clare this summer.
And good luck also to Rebecca who is being considered for the lead role in an Irish feature film also being shot here over the summer.
It’s been a busy month for the Limerick School of Acting who have been heavily involved in the casting for short movie Lost and Found filming in Limerick this weekend.
Casting director Gillian Reynolds (Cowboys and Angels, Primeval, Fair City) made extensive use of the Limerick School of Acting casting database while casting for this local movie.
One of our young student’s James Griffin auditioned for the lead part but, despite getting down to the last couple of kids up for consideration, lost out in the final hurdle.
However, a few of the boys will appear as extras in the film funded by the Limerick Film Scheme and directed by Liam O’Neill of Paradox Pictures.
LSA director Nigel Mercier is cast in the role of ‘Jack’.
Our casting database is coming up trumps again this year.
Our latest success is the very talented Alanna from our 12-14 year Saturday class who has been cast in the Quarry Players latest production ‘Moment’, directed by John Murphy, performing in March.
Good luck also to James from the 9-11 year afternoon Saturday class who is on top casting director Gillian Reynolds’ shortlist for a new short movie to be shot in Limerick in February.
