Good luck Grace!

First database casting this year

Well done to Dashel from the Model School who was cast in a commercial only days after signing up for our Limerick School of Acting database!

Internet Commercial

Well done to the Limerick School of Acting students, adults and kids, who landed roles on the internet commercial shot in University of Limerick and Adare last week. The Chinese and Dublin agencies were very impressed.

Our Limerick School of Acting database is getting very busy!!!

More auditions – fingers crossed

Two of our young students are auditioning this week thanks to our actors database being used by top Dublin casting agents.

Good luck to Meabh meeting with the producer and director coming over from London this Thursday who are casting for the lead role in an exciting new short filmed being shot in Co. Clare this summer.

And good luck also to Rebecca who is being considered for the lead role in an Irish feature film also being shot here over the summer.

Casting for movie Lost and Found

It’s been a busy month for the Limerick School of Acting who have been heavily involved in the casting for short movie Lost and Found filming in Limerick this weekend.

Casting director Gillian Reynolds (Cowboys and Angels, Primeval, Fair City) made extensive use of the Limerick School of Acting casting database while casting for this local movie.

One of our young student’s James Griffin auditioned for the lead part but, despite getting down to the last couple of kids up for consideration, lost out in the final hurdle.

However, a few of the boys will appear as extras in the film funded by the Limerick Film Scheme and directed by Liam O’Neill of Paradox Pictures.

LSA director Nigel Mercier is cast in the role of ‘Jack’.

Our latest success is the very talented Alanna from our 12-14 year Saturday class who has been cast in the Quarry Players latest production ‘Moment’, directed by John Murphy, performing in March.

James

Good luck also to James from the 9-11 year afternoon Saturday class who is on top casting director Gillian Reynolds’ shortlist for a new short movie to be shot in Limerick in February.

Adult actors playing a blinder

Since we started the adult acting course a couple of years ago we have been amazed at how much our students have achieved in such a short time.

For example: Tommy Hourston has appeared on the Belltable stage in Pigtown, played roles on TG4, appeared on Game of Thrones, Vikings and Reign, and landed a Meteor TV commercial.

Many of our students have landed roles in local short movies and local stage productions not least of which are Philip Coffey and Brian O’Regan who will star in a new Irish feature film ‘Cattle Raid’ this summer.

Well done guys!!

2 students auditioning for feature film

June 2013: Two of our 11 yr old boys are presently auditioning for Hubbard Casting in London for the lead role in a major new feature film. Good luck guys!
