We at SET Extras are so excited to be offering a fully accredited Screen Combat Training Course to our members! We strive to have our members be the best the industry has to offer through offering expert training like this!

If you want to become an action actor, stunt performer or special action extra, this is the first step in your journey to mastering fighting for screen.

Students will learn the basic foundations for good fight technique, performance and camera awareness with moves and styles specific to unarmed combat.

We have Certified Trainer Richie Wilson teaching our intensive 30 hour course over two weekends. Richie Wilson is a Stage Combat Instructor with the Irish Dramatic Combat Academy.

He is certified in Unarmed combat, Broadsword, Rapier & Dagger, Knife, Small sword, Quarterstaff, Sword & Shield , Single-Sword and is certified in use of firearms.

Richie has been working in the film and theatre industry since 2004. He has trained extensively in armed and unarmed stage combat in Ireland and abroad. He is among Ireland’s leading experts in theatrical violence and regularly works as a stage combat instructor, stunt performer, fight director, and actor.

Richie is a member of Stunt Register Ireland and has worked as a stunt performer on shows such as Vikings, Into the Badlands, Red Rock, Reign, Pilgrimage, Mary Queen of Scots and Cold Courage.

Trainees will undertake an exam at the end of this course in order to be certified by RADA, London. https://www.rada.ac.uk/

An external Master Trainer, will be travelling from London to conduct the exam.

No upper age limit as long as candidates have a basic level of health and fitness.
